A fun project from a colleague

The Savvy Shopper, (check out her blog at asavvylife.com), posted this fun project that she worked on this summer. I know that I am constantly wondering what to do with all of my photos that I have to hang in my house. Her idea for organizing her photos on her wall turned out so cute!!

Check it out here.

Kids Craft: Iron-on Transfers

The last few months have been crazy busy (as summers usually are!!), but with the new school year I have recommitted to my crafting. I spent most of my summer scrapbooking, and I will post some of my finished projects in the next few weeks. Today's craft is probably one of the easiest and most fun projects I did in the past few months.

Homemade T-Shirts
My husband and I made this shirt to tell our families that we were expecting our first baby (Due Feb. 2 :). If you haven't used iron-on transfers before, you should really try them!  I did them several times growing up when my mom would help us to make our own shirts, dishtowels and other items.

They come in all different shapes and sizes. You can do fun designs, words, numbers, characters or pictures. They are really fun projects for kids.

Supplies:
T-shirts
Iron-on Transfers (I got mine at Michaels. They are available at most craft stores.)
Scizzors
Iron

1. Pre-wash your t-shirts or other cloth items.

2. Cut out your iron-on transfers and arrange them on your shirts. This step can be very fun for kids who will love to choose what they want to put on their shirt and how it should look.

3. Using a thin piece of cloth or dishtowel in between your iron and the transfers, heat the transfers usually for about 30 seconds apiece (check the instructions for your individual iron-on transfer, they may vary).

4. Allow to cool before you wear them!
